Front-End (Interface) Developer
Senior Web Designer
Clear Light Digital is a leading digital agency based in St Kilda. We deliver integrated digital solutions for our clients that comprise strategy, design, development, marketing and advertising services.
We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Web Designer to join our team in Melbourne.
We believe good design is fundamental to success online and without it, our clients will be lost in the wilderness that is the internet. Help us help them!
Your Role
- You will have direct client contact during key stages of the project, such as during briefings and work in progress meetings.
- Work with other team members during key deliverable periods, such as IA, wireframing, interface design, build & testing.
- You will develop initial design concepts for client approvals.
- You will reiterate and refine concepts based upon client feedback.
- You will work with other team members as the custodian of the design to make sure that what is delivered lives up to your creative vision.
Experience
- Excellent interface design skills
- Understand trends and technologies online
- Experience utilizing IA and wireframing best practice to drive solid design
- Experience and understanding of usability and accessibility issue online
- Experience designing with SEO in mind OR experience collaborating and refining design with input from an SEO team
- Use your own creative skills to interpret and guide clients through the design process.
Skills
- 5+ years experience digital web design
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop (or Fireworks) and Illustrator.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Agency experience preferred

Front End Developer
Clear Light Digital is a leading digital agency based in St Kilda. We deliver integrated digital solutions for our clients that comprise strategy, design, development, marketing and advertising services.
We are looking for a talented Front End Developer to join our team in Melbourne.
You will be a tinkerer who plays with technology and isn’t afraid to give something new a go. When it comes to our code … obsessive/compulsive tendencies are encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Build websites and other digital stuff.
- Take our slick designs and turn them into clean, sexy code using CSS & XHTML.
- CMS development: Wordpress, Joomla and Magento.
- Work with the design and SEO team to make sure that our designs are robust and will “work” online.
- Understand that sometimes you have to use tables in HTML emails. And it’s Microsoft’s fault.
Skills
- 4+ years experience CSS & XHTML coding.
- JavaScript - jquery library (or similar).
- WAI, W3C and Cross browser compatibility.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Dreamweaver, Photoshop/Fireworks.
- AJAX, php, ActionScript and web hosting skills would be awesome.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Agency experience preferred.
